Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy whose motto this year is “Democracy at the crossroads? Current threats and opportunities” is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the fourth time. This year’s edition has brought together two hundred human rights activists from around the world, headed by the Russian oppositionist Garry Kasparov, the founder of the Russian human rights society Memorial Sergei Kovalev, the Belarusian dissident Ales Bialiatski, and the Vice President of the Afghan Parliament Fawzia Koofi.
“Keeping society civil. Securing space for NGOs,” was the motto of the third Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy international conference, which took place in Warsaw on 23-25 October. Watch film coverage of the event.
